Feeding Louisiana, the state association of Food Banks, currently holds the CSFP contract with the State of Louisiana. Via the five Food Banks, they provide boxes of nutritious food each month to low-income seniors, many of whom live in isolated, rural communities.
You may apply for 2025 benefits beginning in late January. You must apply every year. Seniors who received food benefits this year will not automatically receive them next year. When available and if eligible, contact your parish Council on Aging to participate in the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP).

Louisiana ranks second in the nation for senior hunger. To combat that, Terrebonne Council on Aging and Catholic Charities’ Food for Seniors program serves more than 1,700 people across Terrebonne Parish each month. The groceries provided helps prevent hunger and keeps seniors happy and healthy.
If you are a senior citizen and are unable to travel to one of our food sites, or lack friends, family, or neighbors who can go get your food box for you, you may be eligible for a volunteer to deliver your monthly food box to your home.
