Peninsula Campground is found on the east side of Folsom Lake between the north and south forks of the American River. Access to the campground is a round-about drive out Highway 49 to Pilot Hill and then 11 miles west on narrow and windy Rattlesnake Bar Road.
Camping. Folsom Lake has three campgrounds -- Beal's Point and Peninsula campgrounds which are located on Folsom Lake and Black Miners Bar Group campground at Lake Natoma. Beal's Point and like Black Miners Bar are developed campgrounds; Beal's Point is open year round and subject to reservations.
