I'm a fairly inexperienced programmer, and I'm attempting to make a FNAF-style game as the final project for my game dev class. However, I obviously need to design a map for the game to take place in. Does anyone have any tips for how to make it interesting and well-designed?

If you want to make a fan-game then just open a drawing program and use the square tool. Remember to make the background transparent (unless the map is hard to see).
