20 lis 2020 · Flume Gorge is by far our family’s favorite hike in the entire Northeast United States! Stunning waterfalls, historic covered bridges, fun small caves and absolutely spectacular scenery! Flume Gorge completely blew us away on this breathtaking 2 mile loop through Franconia Notch State Park.
What is it? A 2-3 mile loop hike with waterfalls, covered bridges and more nature attractions. Cost to enter? Yes, I paid about $20 per person (adults), but kids fees are less. Hike difficulty: Moderate (if you have knee issues, I wouldn’t do the full loop). Rating: 4 out of 5 stars. Recommended?

The Flume is a natural gorge extending 800 feet at the base of Mount Liberty. The walls of Conway granite rise to a height of 70 to 90 feet and are 12 to 20 feet apart. The Flume Trail is a 2-mile loop starting at the check-in booths located in front of the Flume Building.
