In order to clear Windows Update cache in Windows 10 / 8 / 7: Press Win + R and then type services.msc and hit Enter. Find and double click on Windows Update and then click on Stop button. To delete Update cache, go to - C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder.
Hi, I found a WUDownload Cache folder on my USB drive from when I tried updating windows via USB on an old 32gb computer. What are these files for? Could they contain data (photos, documents etc) from my old machine that can be recovered somehow or is that unlikely?
