Enter Hemenster with the Fishing pass in your inventory. Put a Garlic in the pipes to the north. Make sure to finish the dialogue. Pay Bonzo 5 coins. Wait for the Sinister Stranger to move away from the pipes. Start fishing and wait for the contest to end. After winning the contest, make your way back to the dwarf and show him the trophy.

Fishing Contest is a quest in which the player has to earn the friendship of two dwarven brothers by securing a fishing trophy for them. Afterwards, they allow the player to use the dwarven passage underneath the mountain.
Purchase a Fishing Rod from Grandpa Jack if you don't have one. Make your way to Hemenster and show the Fishing pass to Morris. Put a Garlic in the pipes to the north. Pay Bonzo 5 coins. Wait for the Sinister Stranger to move away from the pipes. Then start fishing until the contest is over.
Items required: A fishing pass, garlic, 5 coins, and 3 red vine worms. Exit McGrubor's Wood through the loose railing and go south of McGrubor's Wood to Hemenster, located across from the Ranging Guild south of Seers' Village. Once there show Morris your fishing pass and he will let you in.

The special bait you need to win the competition can be found in McGrubber's Woods west of Seer's Village. Go around to the north of the woods (just to the east of the house there) and you will see a loose railing, squeeze through the loose railing there and find a red vine.
