If you didn't, get the 7 and original 8. I think the graphics improvements of FF8 remastered are worth the extra few dollars (but still would only recommend during a sale). If your decision is made because money is tight, I would say skip FF8 altogether for now and revisit at a later date.

14 kwi 2020 · Original is fully moddable, so you can upgrade backgrounds, textures, etc... to higher resolution with fan mods, etc. Remaster is still being decoded so that some of those mods will work. Plus the remaster took away some things such as full motion support.
Remastered if playing on any of the consoles, but for PC I like the 2013 release as most mods are made for that particular version. If you're replaying, highly recommend the Ragnarok mod as it does give the game a new feel.
Hey All, I'm thinking of picking up this classic on Steam. Should I go with the remaastered or should I get the original. Some of the Steam reviews for the remastered say that it's not better than the original and have had some issues with the graphics. Thanks in advance for your input!
