The Mob Crusher is a machine added by Industrial Foregoing. It is used to kill mobs as if a player, producing Essence and mob drops. The default working range is 1x3x1 in front of the machine and can be expanded with Range Addons.
The spawner, mob crusher (or slaughter farm) will need a range addon in it. I’m sure you already know, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t say it. Put the mob spawner off the ground a couple blocks.

I have a Mob Crusher setup farming from a T5 Zombie Soul shard which is then connected to a Mob Duplicator via Fluiducts. I want the essence to go from the Mob Crusher to the Duplicator and I know I have the fluiducts right (unless I need better fluiducts).
If your vacuum hoppers get blown up, use a block protector from rftools or use a vacuum hopper that teleports items instead of sucking (like a vacuumulator or ranged collector) so you can place it outside the witherproof cage.
