Is there a way to install Fedora on a bootable USB Flash drive and to use it like a real computer, without loosing my stuff on each reboot? I would like to plug my stick on different computers and keep the same configuration, files, etc. Thanks, cheers.

Hello, I had a Fedora 24/Windows 10 dual-boot system and I wanted to have a clean install of Fedora 25 with the update. I downloaded the Media Creator and created a Live USB. But when I boot and test the media, it gets to 4.8% and fails.
I'm trying to write a Win10 bootable usb, but the system refuses to mount the flash drive. I tried ( sudo mount /dev/sda /mnt ) in terminal and it just hangs. Every program recognizes it (terminal, fedora media writer, gparted, file explorer).
12 sie 2020 · I will use Windows 10 as it seems that not many users have upgraded their operating systems to Windows 11. Ensure that the “problematic” USB stick is plugged into a USB port. Launch a command prompt with admin privileges.
27 mar 2024 · The usb drive is not the lockable type, it has no lock button, and it is formatable in windows 11 pro. I also tried 2 other usb drives (one 32 GB and one 8 GB) they all were first formated in windows (FAT32) but failed with the same error when trying to copy fedora using the media writer.

Note, this method works like the Fedora Media Writer by overwriting all contents on the drive making it appear the same size as the ISO file.
