3 kwi 2021 · The FCC implemented the $35 license fee on April 19, 2022. All new licenses, renewals and vanity call sign requests will be billed $35 online before applications are processed. Upgrades to higher license classes are exempt from the new $35 fee.

31 gru 2020 · The FCC has lowered the fee proposed from $50 to $35 for GMRS licenses and Amateur Radio licenses. Effective date is unknown but should be announced around 30 days prior to taking effect. See the attached Report & Order (12/29/2020).
Licensing. An FCC license is required to operate GMRS system. Licenses are issued for a ten-year term and can be renewed between 90 days prior to the expiration date and up to the actual expiration date of the license. After a license expires, an individual must request a new GMRS license.
