  6. A common compromise is to use a fan speed profile where the fan ramps up according to the relevant temperature (CPU / GPU or Motherboard depending on fan). For a CPU fan for example you could set a ramp (in Bios or in overclocking software) of 0% fan speed at 30 degrees ramping up to 100% fan at 70 degrees C.
