My mom diagnosed with high grade serous ovarian cancer stage 3c in October 2021 and went through neoadjuvant chemo and surgery. Her ca125 levels are now at 30 compared to 5 three months back. Should we be concerned about relapse?
It is a great encouragement to hear that other stage 4 ovarian cancer survivors are living so long! My experience is different than most cancer survivors because I am trusting my healing to the Lord instead of getting any treatment! I have been blessed to be a survivor for more than 6 months now.
ovarian cancer - overwhelmed. hi, my wife is presumably to have ovarian cancer. big belly, bloating and loss of appetite started about one month ago. Went to primary doc, then did an Ultrasound about 3 weeks ago, it showed 3cm pancreatic tumor and ascites. Scheduled for a CT scan the following week.
Diagnosis was high-grade serous ovarian cancer. Pathology lists her as stage IIIA, but oncologist considers her more of a stage IC because of some unique characteristics. She was found to have a BRCA2 founders mutation. She did not have ANY of the typical ovarian cancer symptoms.
I have posted on here many times, I too have advanced ovarian cancer, stage 4. I was diagnosed in September 2016 and it was the biggest shock ever. If you read my posts, you will see that I have been through a lot of treatment, various ups and downs, but nearly 2 years on, I'm doing ok and feeling well.
