13 cze 2016 · Silverlock the dev team behind all the SE's from Oblivion through Fallout 4 has to update the Script Extender code each time a content patch for FO4 gets released. just keep checking their site http://f4se.silverlock.org/ and always update to the latest version of F4SE.
26 mar 2023 · The only "official" source is silverlock.org. (or something similar....) And it should indeed be f4se_loader.exe. Best bet is to grab the right version for your game version, and install it manually.

Remove f4se_loader.exe and f4se_steam_loader.dll from your Fallout 4 installation directory. Download the archive of F4SE from the website again (should be https://f4se.silverlock.org/beta/f4se_0_06_16.7z ). Open the archive and make sure that the folder inside the archive is named f4se_0_06_16.
You'll need to downgrade Fallout 4 since Bethesda recently released the Next-Gen update which a lot of mods haven't fully upgraded to yet. Use Simple Fallout 4 Downgrader and follow the requirements on there. That should help fix your issue.

It does so without modifying the executable files on disk, so there are no permanent side effects.
