12 lut 2014 · I'm having trouble with a cross-sheet reference within the same file. On the second tab named "Disclosures & Identification," there is a set of merged cells at D5:G5 which hold text. On the first tab, there is a reference to that cell.

6 gru 2018 · Is there a way to check if a certain sheet is referenced by any other sheets ie via formulas? For example I have a large dataset in Sheet A, but all the other sheets in my workbook may have some sumifs, vlookups, index match, etc applied referencing sheet A.
21 mar 2023 · When writing a formula that refers to cells in another worksheet, you can of course type that other sheet name followed by an exclamation point and a cell reference manually, but this would be a slow and error-prone way.
Checking formulas for accuracy or finding the source of an error may be difficult if formula uses precedent or dependent cells: Precedent cells — cells that are referred to by a formula in another cell. For example, if cell D10 contains the formula =B5, then cell B5 is a precedent to cell D10.
8 sie 2013 · Use INDIRECT() on textually referenced File and Sheet names. Example: Make Z1 be 'C:\..\[B.xls]!Sheet1' (with the quotes? Untested) Then use =INDIRECT(Z1&"!A1") where you need to reference cell A1 in that sheet. The INDIRECT function only works if you have the secondary Excel file opened. Once closed, all those INDIRECT references become #REF.
30 sie 2024 · We have copied the formula = A2 + A3 + A4 from Cell B6 to another cell in Excel. As the formula has relative references, Excel updates the cell references for its new position. And as nothing sits in place with the updated cell references, we get the #REF error.
