24 gru 2021 · I have set up fields to allow for 3 decimal places, but sometimes, the first value to be entered is without decimal places, e.g. 4 instead of 4.000. Once that 4 is entered, the subsequent values on the form will not allow decimal places even though the fields are set up to accept the decimal places. Any help is appreciated.

18 sie 2013 · I reset Datasheet formatting from Text to Number, with no decimals, but nothing happens. I click my Decrease Decimals button, and nothing happens. I am able to change data in the report, so it's not protected.
11 sie 2022 · 1. Use the Decimal Buttons. If you only want to change particular cells, the quickest way is using the decimal buttons in the ribbon. Head to the Home tab and choose the Increase Decimal or Decrease Decimal button in the Number section. By default, you'll increase or decrease by one place with each click.
In the Decimal places box, enter the number of decimal places that you want to display. Tip: To minimize any effects of floating point arithmetic storage inaccuracy, you can also use the ROUND function to round numbers to the number of decimal places that is required by your calculation.

If you don’t want unnecessary decimal places in cells because they cause ##### symbols to appear, or you don’t need accuracy down to the microscopic level, change the cell format to get the number of decimal places you want.
