  2. 26 maj 2021 · The problem was mine, not Excel's. I was plotting dates for morning, afternoon, and evenings, and so my columns had blank entries between dates. I discovered that any blank entry for a date causes the entire plot to start at 1900. Blanks shouldn't cause this.

  4. 26 lis 2003 · Your dates are not dates but string entries. Convert them to be actual Excel dates and everything should work fine. One way to convert string entries to numeric is to type 1 in an empty cell, copy that cell, and paste it over the cells you want to convert using Edit/Paste Special/Multiply. You may need to format the cells as date again afterwards.

  7. Excel supports two date systems, the 1900 date system and the 1904 date system. Each date system uses a unique starting date from which all other workbook dates are calculated. All newer versions of Excel calculate dates based on the 1900 date system, while older versions used the 1904 system.
