The Enlace Program is composed of a team of college staff and community mentors, and several peer student tutors. INTRODUCTION. The Enlace Program, which began in 1983 at Evergreen Valley College, represents an alternative approach to meeting the educational needs of Chicanx/Latinx students. The name enlace is derived from the Spanish word enlazar, which means "to bind or connect" or "to create a community."
Enlace is a multi-service program blending academic instruction and support services. The program offers counseling; mentoring; supplemental instruction; peer tutoring; along with English, Math and Science transferable courses.
