Enlace, which began in 1983, is an academic program supported by counseling, tutoring, community mentoring, and student organizations. Enlace serves underrepresented Chican@/Latin@ students of San José and nearby communities.
The Enlace community consists of a team of college faculty, staff, and community mentors with the program mission of helping Chicanx/Latinx students succeed. Enlace services include academic classes and tutoring support, counseling, and community mentoring.
The Enlace Program is designed to help Chicanx/Latinx students succeed. It is a unique academic program established in 1983 and maintained under the EVC Language Arts Division celebrating 41 years of academic services.
Enlace is a multi-service program blending academic instruction and support services. The program offers counseling; mentoring; supplemental instruction; peer tutoring; along with English, Math and Science transferable courses. All courses have a community learning approach.
