The Enlace Program, which began in 1983 at Evergreen Valley College, represents an alternative approach to meeting the educational needs of Chicanx/Latinx students.
Enlace is a multi-service program blending academic instruction and support services. The program offers counseling; mentoring; supplemental instruction; peer tutoring; along with English, Math and Science transferable courses. All courses have a community learning approach.
Students are required to sign up for one of the following English 105 support courses: 116107, 116109. ***English 1B (228), is a hybrid course, with only three in-person meetings on: 1/30, 2/27, and 5/19. Enlace Program Courses: Students must fill out the form by clicking here.
Three central organizing principles describe the Enlace approach and inform all program decisions. Enlaces exceptional free English and math summer academies prepare Enlace students with a significant educational advantage. Every spring we host a bilingual-bicultural event, the Enlace Excelencia in Education Celebration, where we honor Enlace students, their families, and award scholarships.
