The fifth generation EV system certainly brought some interesting new tools to ease the odious task of EV training, but let's first revisit the basics of EV training. How EVs Work Effort Values, or EVs for short, allow you to further build upon your Pokémon's base stats.
26 sty 2011 · The very fastest EV training is with Pokerus and a Power Item, earning EVs at this rate per combat: (y + 4) * 2 where y is the amount of EV you would earn alone. Vitamins and Wings Vitamins will grant your Pokemon 10 EVs to the corresponding stat, until your Pokemon reaches 100 EV in that stat.
To top that off, when your Pokémon is being trained, it is capped at 252 in each stat, and it allows you to view the progress of EV training through a special graph on the bottom screen. This shows how much each stat has increased and along the side, how much more training the Pokémon can do.
