14 cze 2018 · ERA5 is the fifth generation ECMWF reanalysis for the global climate and weather for the past 8 decades. Data is available from 1940 onwards. ERA5 replaces the ERA-Interim reanalysis. Reanalysis combines model data with observations from across the world into a globally complete and consistent dataset using the laws of physics.
ERA5 is the fifth generation ECMWF atmospheric reanalysis of the global climate covering the period from January 1940 to present. ERA5 is produced by the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) at ECMWF.
17 sty 2019 · The new ERA5 dataset generated by the Copernicus Climate Change Service, which is part of the Earth monitoring programme of the European Union and implemented by ECMWF, is now available for public use. The ERA5 dataset is a reanalysis of hourly meteorological conditions back to 1979.
The ERA5 dataset is available for everyone through the Climate Data Store (CDS) for free, but users need a minimum of skills to access and process it. Read more on how to explore the CDS: Getting started with CDS: tips for using the Copernicus Climate Change Service’s data.
ERA5 is the latest climate reanalysis produced by ECMWF, providing hourly data on many atmospheric, land-surface and sea-state parameters together with estimates of uncertainty. ERA5 data are available in the Climate Data Store on regular latitude-longitude grids at 0.25o x 0.25o resolution, with atmospheric parameters on 37 pressure levels.
Currently there are six online ERA5 and three ERA5-Land catalogue entries. There is an additional catalogue entry for Complete ERA5 global atmospheric reanalysis ( reanalysis-era5-complete ) but this data cannot be downloaded from the CDS web interface (see section 4 below).
4 paź 2017 · ERA5 is the fifth state-of-the-art reanalysis at ECMWF, following the pioneering FGGE system (1979), ERA-15 (1994), ERA-40 (2001) and ERA-Interim (2006). More reanalysis products have been produced at ECMWF, and other reanalysis activities take place at several places around the world.
