Dubai International (DXB) is our home hub. Your Emirates flight will arrive at and depart from gates A, B or C at our own Emirates Terminal 3. Inside, palm lined walkways lead you out into the city beyond or on to your next flight. It’s easy to transfer between the terminals by bus, train or on foot.
Find out how to travel between Terminals 1, 2 and 3 in Dubai, and what you need to do with your bags. If you need to collect your bags and check‑in again, you need to go through passport control and security 90 minutes before your flight.
DXB Airport is located in the Al Garhoud district and is easily accessible via major roads, including the Sheikh Rashid Road (E11) and Al Ittihad Road (D89). It's close to several key landmarks in Dubai, such as the Dubai Creek and the historic districts of Deira and Bur Dubai.
Terminal 3 is an airport terminal at Dubai International Airport, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. When completed and opened on 14 October 2008, it was the largest building in the world by floor area and is currently the world's largest airport terminal, with over 1,713,000 m 2 (18,440,000 sq ft) of space.
How many terminals are there in Dubai Airport? Dubai International Airport has three terminal buildings. Terminal 1 handles the majority of international flights (apart from the flights operated by Emirates Airlines), while the adjacent terminal 3 is dedicated to the UAE flag carrier, Emirates Airlines.
Emirates Terminal 3 at Dubai Airport is situated on Airport Road in Garhoud and just a few kilometres from the majority of Dubai’s main centres. Please keep in mind that at peak times traffic on the main routes to and from Dubai Airport can cause delays if you are travelling by car, bus or taxi.
