Youth Programs. The PITT’s KIDS program provides instruction in aquatics, games, and sports instruction to children ages 3 to 14 years old (fall/spring semesters) and 5 to 14 years old (summer only). Through this developmental program, children participate in a variety of age-appropriate activities with a focus on progressive skill instruction.
Through the Community Services Department people can learn new skills, meet new friends, develop hobbies, and participate in recreational and special interest classes*. Programs include arts and crafts, music, dance, fitness, sports, educational and career development classes.
The Community Leisure Learn Promise: We offer health and wellness programming for children and adults. We provide options in a fun and low-cost format. We give access to university facilities including a physical fitness center, Olympic-sized swimming pool, rock-climbing wall, gymnasium with basketball courts, and racquetball courts.
The Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education programs at the Pitt School of Education focus on the education of young children (from birth to grade 4) in public and private schools, homes, and other facilities that educate young children.
