The EA app is fundamentally flawed. Uninstall the EA app, go to Techspot and download the origin installer. Worked for me, I wasn't able to launch BF2024 due to the app crashing. Shame on EA really.

It's worth using Revo to uninstall and reinstall the EA App as well. Then reinstall the App, restart your computer, and reinstall Sims 4 through the app of your choice. If you install through the EA App, you may need to launch the game through Epic once; there's a thread about this issue here:
