30 sie 2021 · There’s a database (SQlite which includes all 74785 lenses) called CAFList4.db. The lens modules themselves have names like C54383b_001.caf (binary) and are about 500KB each. For those who are counting, this would make the full lens database a 37 GB download.

17 lut 2022 · The point here is not where the lens profiles are kept, but that they should be accessible to all users of the software without having to download and store them again for every user. It’s inconvenient, a waste of bandwidth, a waste of storage space and is poor software design.
25 paź 2023 · Just bought new Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM for my Canon 5D Mark II, got some shots and want to edit them as usual. “DxO Optics Module installer” appear on a screen, asking to install new module. But nothing happens - downloading ends with error “Unable to connect to the remote server”.
