7 sty 2017 · I'm using VLC 2.2.4 on Win 10 to play a DVD I bought in a shop. Menu comes up, Episode 1 will play as expected, but no matter what I do, VLC will not play other episodes on this DVD. Even when I go to the menu and choose another episode, the one that plays is always Episode 1. I've tried play the next chapter button, but with same result.
26 wrz 2007 · I have an internal DVD\CD-Rom (D:) built into my Dell computer, plus an external Sony DVD\CD-burner\player (E:) connected via USB. In the VLC Media Player the default is ( D: ) and I would like to make ( E: ) the default player in the VLC Media Player, but I see no option or preference that allows me to do so.
12 paź 2018 · Well, I've got a dedicated DVD player connected to my TV so I would never normally use vlc to playback DVDs on my laptop, but tonight I did in order to determine whether or not the movie would stop playing in the middle of the disc like you say it does on your machine. But it played right through to the end without any problem.
18 cze 2008 · VLC Player (I have installed the newest 0.8.6h version) can play the DVD's but only by manualy selecting 'open disc' and then open 'DVD', but it can't show the menu's. Is this a bug in the program? Since other DVD player software can show it. The burner makes the following disc structure on a DVD_VR disc VIDEO_RM VIDEO_TS
19 lip 2023 · VLC will no longer play a number of the dvd's it's played with no trouble in recent months, on either the internal cd-rom, or the external bdr. Now it just locks up when attempting to load. The dvds are not damaged. Also, a brand new dvd, that's been tested on other computers, sometimes does start, but glitches badly and finally locks up in 20 ...
3 cze 2014 · (The menu language of the player is already German.) My DVD drive has region code 2. I changed it to region code 1 and back to 2. I bought the DVDs in Germany and the case and the booklets are all printed in German. When I play all season with PowerDVD or Windows Media Player, all the DVD menus are in German then and I don't have that problem.
15 sty 2014 · VLC media player just stopped playing DVDs for me. I don't remember if it coincided with installing the latest version or not, unfortunately. I've tried 5 different DVDs and it's been the same for all of them.
18 sie 2009 · In both cases, vlc immediately crashes (just disappears). Restarting vlc gives the "VLC Crash Reporting" popup. I tried to enable logging to debug this problem, but have not been successful. In the VLC options (Advanced > Logging) I've set the Log filename to "C:\Program Files\VLC\log.txt" (where my VLC is installed) and the format to Text.
