Three lodges and 15 cabins overlook the 4,500-acre lake, offering visitors a scenic retreat. There are 103 campsites, 39 offering electric and water hookups. The park also offers 4 yurts (no electricity). Claytor Lake Camping features Cabins, lodges, yurts, camping lodge (bunkhouse) and camping.
Claytor Lake State Park Campground is located next to beautiful Clayton Lake and has 106 single-family (mixed-used) campsites (59 with 30-amp hookups). There are also cabins, a bunkhouse and lodging rooms for rent.
The park offers extensive camping opportunities in its 4 campgrounds and and cabin area. Campgrounds A, B, and C offer primitive camping and all have their own restroom and shower facilities. A dump station is located near C. Campground D, the southernmost campground accommodates RVs and other campers wishing to have electrical and water hookups.
Claytor Lake Campground is part of Claytor Lake State Park in Virginia (31 min southwest of Blacksburg, VA ) with an elevation of 1,969 feet. There are a total of 127 campsites including 23 cabins. The campground is open all year. 121 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 20 and 50 feet.
