Instead of pressing ALT + Tab, press your windows Key. I found that if I open my web browser BEFORE I launch the game, ALT+TAB works fine. It appears that windows 10 does not have another program to tab to.
Go to STEAM>Settings>Downloads>Steam library folder. you will see the folder e.g "D:\Steam" right click the said path and Select "repair library folder". click dota2 app then run or install dota2. Steam will discover the said app without checking your HDD free space.
10 lip 2024 · I had the same problem yesterday after the update that added act 3. I tried several ways and the only option was to temporarily disable the legacy option and manually enter the keys until it is resolved.
16 lip 2024 · Quick cast has stopped working with legacy keys. I've tried resetting everything, and even deleted the cfg folder. But no luck. Quick cast works fine if I disable legacy keys. I tried using the command on console dota_ability_quick_cast true but no luck either.
3 lut 2023 · The error usually occurs when the Steam client is out of date and it prevents players from launching Dota 2. Updating the Steam client is the first step towards fixing the problem.

My computer suddenly updated to Windows 10, and pretty much everything works fine except DotA2 wasn't launching from the Steam Library. I was able to find a workaround that worked 50% of the time via running the .exe file as Administrator, but I feel like it should launch from Steam as expected.
