If you find it odd when your DOTA2 is not detected and needs to be installed but in fact if you look at in the \Steam\steamapps\Common\ and you see dota 2 beta folder. when you open the dota2.exe and it runs but the dota2 client is not updated. You need to exit to update the said game.

By virtue of him logging onto my account from his PC, it added some of HIS F2P games to my list.
