1 kwi 2011 · New owner of an 05 Chevy 2500 duramax. As I don't know the past maintains on this truck I am changing all fluids. Would like to use Mobil1 products. What type of fluid is in the transfer case? Is there a recommended change time? Thanks, Tom
31 sie 2009 · I have a 02 D/A 4x4 3500 Dually. I don't have the rub hole yet but just replaced the seal were the driveshaft hooks to the transfer case for the second time. My fluid level is low and needs more. In the owners manual it calls for Auto Trak II Fluid for electronic transfercases.
17 sty 2017 · RAM requires BW44-44 transfer case fluid for all HD trucks. Don't put ATF in there. 2019 RAM 2500 Laramie CTD, Crew Cab, 4X4 all options except rear air susp, Black Forest Green Pearl.
4 sty 2020 · Just a friendly reminder to change out your factory transfer case fluid sooner than later. Picture below is my drain plug magnet at only 27,000 miles on my 2019 Chevy. Usually try to do this within the first 10,000 miles, but unable to dedicate the time until the recent Holidays.
23 mar 2019 · Look for any quality ATF, it really does not matter if its synthetic or mineral based. Some guys run low viscosity 5cSt (Dex 6) and others run the thicker 7cSt fluid (ATF+4). Pick your poison. In the next couple of weeks mine will get the 7cSt fluid as I have a few litres still in hiding. I use a multivehicle ATF.
14 cze 2012 · Hi-new GMC that I'm going to put Transynd in the Allison, and find that the manual recommends Dex VI for the transfer case, and some on the site recommend 5-30 synthetic oil. Is Transynd a reasonable choice for the transfer case?
