“DNA Painter is an easy-to-use tool that helps genealogists make sense of DNA testing. By mapping segments of DNA to chromosomes, we can begin to see which ancestors gave us which pieces of DNA, and thus how new matches are related.
27 mar 2020 · Jonny Perl has updated the Shared cM Project tool at DNA Painter with the new data AND a new feature, histograms on demand! Click a relationship and the histogram for that relationship will pop up.
27 sie 2022 · With this FREE tool, a genealogist can enter an amount of DNA shared (in cM) with a match at a testing company, and the possible relationships for that shared amount will highlight in the graphic.

5 mar 2021 · Version 4.0 of the Shared cM Project was based on nearly 60,000 DNA tester’s submissions of the amount of DNA they shared with DNA matches in known family relationships. The data analysis showed that the amount of shared DNA fell into a range for each relationship.
