3 sty 2017 · A clot of people assert all sort of things about gas engines, that are against the manual directions. Follow the manual directions for break in, then find a tuning for each engine so that it is decently easy to start, has a nice high idle for the air, and runs well enough.
22 sty 2024 · I have an electric starter on Gaui F-50 4 stroke. That uses a smaller one way sprag bearing on the large ring gear. I have countless number of starts with it, and quite a few flights on the AC, and that sprag bearing has not shown any issues.

9 maj 2015 · EME is making on-board or "Auto Start" systems for gasoline engines that will fit EME engines as well as some DLE and DLE knock off motors (AMG etc.). I think it would be relatively easy to adapt these to a lot of other engines if you have machining skills or a friend who will help.

3 paź 2014 · The DLE-61cc Gas Engine comes with their own airplane-specific carburetor that lots of people like, including me. The DLE carb seem to respond to even tiny adjustments making it easier to dial it in for the plane.
