I used 36 bags and had no issue with any of the mixing. I’d buy again - no brainer as it’a Home Depot’s cheapest self leveling option.

  5. Get a floor maintainer from Home Depot tool rentals. Throw some of those giant 60 grit sanding discs on the bottom. Once you get the high spots out you can go back and trowel in Ardex feather finish.

  7. OP, I have used self leveling compound a few times now, and it doesn't live up to the name. It will get you a smoother surface (usually) and will fill the deepest voids, but it doesn't really find its own level. Even my best pours, when checked with an 8ft level, had 3/8" dips in them. The dips tapered out over a long distance, but it wasn't flat.
