6 dni temu · Used to create a concrete finish for floor of permanently stationed RV. Mixed to nice watery slurry and poured without even much thinking. Product self leveled fine. I used 36 bags and had no issue with any of the mixing. I’d buy again - no brainer as it’a Home Depot’s cheapest self leveling option.
12 sie 2024 · I bought 48 bags of this self leveling underlayment (about $1,300) for a few sections of my house that needed leveling. I used a laser level and marked off areas that needed leveling. I had the organized labor for mixing, concrete mixer, rake and mixing tub.
Depending on height 700sqf can be a lot of self leveling compound. Doing 1/2 inch it's like 50-80 bags. A leveling contractor will pull up with his mixing trailer or truck.
Does anyone have any experience with self-leveling a floor/basement? If so, what products and procedures did you do? I plan on using LevelQuik RS 50 lbs. Self-Leveling Underlayment from Home Depot, the reviews are pretty good and it seems easy to use with two people.
Get a floor maintainer from Home Depot tool rentals. Throw some of those giant 60 grit sanding discs on the bottom. Once you get the high spots out you can go back and trowel in Ardex feather finish.
5 wrz 2023 · Self-leveling concrete is a game changer for the DIYer that wants to install a new floor in their home. This compound can smooth, flatten and level itself as it dries. Once fully cured, it is also denser and harder than standard concrete.
OP, I have used self leveling compound a few times now, and it doesn't live up to the name. It will get you a smoother surface (usually) and will fill the deepest voids, but it doesn't really find its own level. Even my best pours, when checked with an 8ft level, had 3/8" dips in them. The dips tapered out over a long distance, but it wasn't flat.
