Fibular fracture is a complete or incomplete break in the smaller of the two leg bones (fibula), between the knee and ankle. Fractures of the fibula are not uncommon. Displacement (misalignment) is seldom severe. Fractures of the fibula some-times accompany severe ankle sprains.

1 sty 2021 · Recently, there has been a growing paradigm shift toward the use of less invasive approaches to surgical management of distal fibular fractures. These techniques range from minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis (MIPO) to intramedullary (IM) fixation including nails and screws.
We report various different presentation and options in management of this rarely reported injury. Material and method: A prospective, single centre study of six patients of fracture fibular head was presented with injury to knee joint. All were male with average age 31 years (range 19-44 years).
