The Discovery Park Loop Trail, designated a National Recreation Trail in 1975, runs 2.8 miles through the park, connecting to other trails.

If you're taking the bus, Route 24 stops at the West Emerson Street entrance while Route 33 stops inside the park, close to the North Parking Lot.
