DIM is a community-developed item manager for Bungie's Destiny and Destiny 2 video games. DIM can move items directly between characters and the vault.
For each of these commands, you can click the target location (each character or vault), and click the "Transfer Search" from the dropdown. The 'inleftchar' tag refers to the leftmost character in DIM, usually the one you're playing on at the moment.
Destiny Item Manager, or DIM for short, is a third-party application that utilizes the Destiny API to directly interact with the game. It’s a great tool that can be used for things like equipping or transferring weapons and gear between characters as well as the Vault, building Loadouts, swapping between mods, and more.
DIM’s most powerful component is the filter bar. It’s present in nearly every aspect of the application with an easily accessed table showing how to use each command. The simplest type of filters are the is: and not: filters. If you enter is:sidearm you’ll get shown all sidearms, and if you enter not:sidearm you’ll be shown anything that’s not one.
