Desert, Jungle, Soviet, Urban, Nuclear Strike - I always loved those games. Some gameplay of the last one here. Top-down vehicle combat, exploring a map, finding new and varied vehicles to use... excellent! Has there been anything like that in recent years?
Some of the on-foot missions (Alcatraz) were problematic in Urban Strike from memory, as lives weren’t as frequent and armor not as plentiful, so resource management was a little more precise. Still managed to beat the game at age 13, so perhaps people exaggerate a bit on that aspect?

Desert was my third Strike game, but I thought it felt old in contrast to the others. Really fun games, but blowing up everything, enemies and friendlies, and destroying Washington and Las Vegas, was where the real fun was.
