Boss marketed the MD-2 as its highest gain distortion. It also has a ton of low end on hand. The EQ section (tone, and bottom) is very powerful, and you can really get some extreme results if you want.

13 maj 2024 · This is a rather complex circuit that uses a topology I haven't seen in a distortion pedal before. It's a clean boost running into a mid focused high gain distortion that has a hearty bass boost available. Imagine pushing a DS2 with a lpb-1 and adding a bass boost, that's sort of what it reminds me of.
It's a relatively flat distortion pedal that has a tube-screamer-like gain boost function, and allows for more gain and treble/bass boost above noon than most people will use. Keep all knobs below 1:00 and you can get a lot of useful and conventional sounds from it.
