26 lip 2023 · The Bible says that God is a Being with intellect (Romans 11:34), and He has made a well-ordered universe in which truth can be known and logical rules applied. God is the Creator of the human intellect, giving us the ability to comprehend, think, reason, and remember.
30 lip 2024 · Intellectual assent is a necessary part of saving faith. No one can be saved who denies the basic facts about Jesus recorded in the New Testament. But saving faith goes beyond acceptance of the facts to embrace the significance of those facts and entrust one’s life to them.
The intellect is the faculty by which we understand language and the Bible. Further, the intellect is what allows us to properly order things. In turn, this allows us to have wisdom and grow in knowledge of God. Thus, the Christian should view the intellect as intrinsic to human nature given by God.

Even before hearing God's revelation in the gospel, one can acquire through intellect a basic belief in God and some understanding of his nature (Romans 1:16-22). The gospel gives us much more to think about, so as to achieve a complete faith and a much fuller understanding (Ephesians 1:15-19).
God's gift of faith is intended by Him to be intellectual, practical, and motivational. This brings us back to the many examples Paul uses in Hebrews 11 to illustrate how faith is most profitably used.
