13 lip 2019 · When you're in game and have seen intro movie, press Shift+` to try opening Steam overlay. If not, launch steam as Administrator and launch DBD. When Anti-cheat & DBD has admin privilege but Steam doesn't, Steam can't attach overlay so DBD fails to acquire Steam-related stuff like friend, etc.

To conclude: Reinstalling steam will only fix the error temporarily, until you locate the game / software / server that's using those exact steam files and hogging them all for itself. How will you know which files are they?

Please make sure your internet connection and Steam connection is active" And that's it. Also, when I launch the game, I am automatically shown the intro cinematic and CAN'T skip it.
Fix for "Steam Offline" ERROR. Guide. Run the game via Steam library instead of just an icon on your taskbar/desktop. It'll then find Steam and run normally, even with fps uncapped. Seen this in other games too. Noticed there was alot of posts about it but not this fix. Hope it helps.
fixed/solved Cause: Sandbox feature in network security software was causing conflicts with Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC); my guess is EAC hooks into the game or general memory. Disabling sandbox and re-installing EAC resolved issue.
i get the steam offline error every time i boot up the game. i tried fixing it through the anti-cheat engine, deleted files i needed to delete, uninstalled and reinstalled the game and nothing is working.
