24 paź 2014 · This chapter discusses techniques for cooling a data center that first consider economization as the principal form of cooling. There are more than 20 ways to cool a data center using mechanical refrigeration with or without some form of economizer as part of the cooling strategy.
1 gru 2017 · This paper introduces a comprehensive cooling index to assess performance of cooling systems in data centers and demonstrates its application on a real case by using CFD...
This white paper provides an overview of free cooling for data centers. It consists of a general description of free cooling and an explanation of different available free cooling
1 gru 2017 · Abstract. Air conditioning and cooling systems account for about 40 % of total electricity usage in data centers. Free cooling is a novel and promising technology that can decrease the load ratio of electrical chiller and save cooling energy consumption accordingly, through making full use of natural free cooling source.
Data center designs, in accordance with ASHRAE guidelines, have thus accepted to move to the upper limit of the recommended envelope, and in some cases, even to the allowable ranges (A1-A4), allowing data center managers and manufacturers to be creative with cooling solutions.
1 kwi 2024 · Energy-saving techniques used in data center cooling may be broken down into three main approaches: room cooling-focused approach, IT equipment cooling-focused approach, and thermal energy storage techniques.
29 lis 2022 · To achieve these goals, in this paper, literature surveys on data center cooling systems are investigated. For data center air cooling, thermal management is mainly related to the uniform distribution of hot and cold air. Adjusting the porosity of perforated tiles can reduce energy consumption.
