30 paź 2023 · The cuboid bone is a short bone in the lateral part of the foot, located on the distal row of the tarsal bones. It is square shaped, hence the name, and is the main bone of the mid foot, due to the several articular surfaces it possesses.
Definition. The cube-shaped cuboid bone is located on the outer side of the foot, articulating with the calcaneus posteriorly and the fourth and fifth metatarsals anteriorly. It connects with the navicular and lateral cuneiform bones medially.
