1 cze 2001 · I'm assuming you've tried tweaking all the tone knobs on the Crates. When I first plugged in the 125 it sounded great...then the salesman started messing with the knobs and it DID sound pretty bad. (he's a Bass player) After he left I adjusted them back and got a real nice tight punchy sound.
See if the tweeter-level control on the back tames the hiss. I have the rack mount version of the preamp (CA1PD). I've used different CA1PD's and they have all been very quiet. So if the combos' tweeters have a hiss issue, I'd have to assume it's originating in their amplification circuit.

26 cze 2001 · So that started me on my quest for the best, cost efficient acoustic amp. I wanted something that would give me a wide array of sounds as well as a true sound. This amp fits the bill.

8 lut 2017 · I found a crate CA-125 for sale and it looks great. Sounds great, too, for vocals and acoustic guitar. Wondering if I could use the second instrument input for bass guitar. Does anyone know if this would work? Would it damage the amp?
