It sounds ok, I've gigged with it plenty of times, but it doesn't sound that special. The bass is really kind of flabby sounding, and it kind of has a honky midrange. I wanted something that would give me a wide array of sounds as well as a true sound. This amp fits the bill.

   I have the same amp, Mark. Mine is in really nice shape, but was $325. You're right, it's way more amp than you need, but it does sound good at low volume. It takes a while to get the right sound with all of the controls. I tend to leave the equalizer and tone knobs more or less flat and use the guitar pre-amp to shape the sound.
