The Ten Step is not a line dance! The Ten Step would be considered a partner dance. As such, you can dance it with a partner, but it is commonly danced individually and so much fun that I wanted to include it. It is also easy!
When this dance is done as a mixer 6 shuffle steps are used at the end rather than 4. The women crosses in front of her partner on the FIRST shuffle beat and takes 4 shuffles to cross to the man dancing behind her.
Many different dances are done to country-western music. These dances include: Two Step, Waltz, Cowboy or Traveling Cha Cha, [ 2 ] Polka Ten Step [ 3 ] (also known as Ten Step Polka [ 4 ]), Schottische, and other Western promenade dances, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, and Nightclub Two Step.
