9 mar 2017 · As of Inkscape (v0.91), this was the equivalent: inkscape --file=mySVGinputFile.svg --export-area-drawing --without-gui --export-pdf=output.pdf. This is actually the command that LyX uses to prepare SVG images for use in LaTeX. I have used PlantUML to generate SVG, which then goes into PDF.
Exporting a PDF File. The PDF file format is a vector format that can also hold raster images. Inkscape can save directly to PDF. To do so, do File ‣ Save a Copy, and select Portable Document Format (*.pdf) from the list of available file formats at the bottom.
