Personally I find it insane that the G1, a camera with more features, much better quality and materials, and absolutely top end lenses that blow any P&S out of the water, ends up costing less on the second hand market than many point and shoots.

Pros and Cons Pros. Lightweight. Titanium gives great strength and lightweight. Even the lenses are well-made but lighter than the modern ZM equivalents. Great user experience. Unbelievably good lenses.
6 gru 2017 · Some photographers say that the G1 is worlds apart from the G2 – but in my experience, the G1 keeps up. With minimal hunting under the darkest and least contrasty conditions, like many other AF systems even up until today, the G2 is better and faster focusing even in challenging situations.
1 sie 2022 · The G1 is just that much smaller and lighter that it was the first camera I reached for every single time when I had both. The G1 is considerably less expensive. Lastly I can in no way tell the difference between photos taken with the G1 from photos taken with the G2 I had.
