Giles, the appointed incumbent, defeated two challengers to win the office, with 51 percent of the vote. Following Giles in the vote count was Brien Maxwell with 26 percent and Pat Bohlender with 23 percent.

During a meeting at the Republican Party offices in Randall County, precinct chairs voted to elect Giles as the new county chairman. Giles, a rancher from the Canyon area, defeated Cathy Welch, another precinct chair, for the position.
15 kwi 2024 · Giles is hoping to replace Vice Chair Dana Myers, who is seeking the chairmanship of the state party. First appointed to his position as county chair in 2023, Giles was re-elected over two challengers in the March primary election, winning 51 percent of the vote.
