23 maj 2017 · The problem has been identified as not enough support from the axle bushing in the case. The bushing is too narrow to support the axle and allows it to sag into the seal causing a leak. Bob White and his crew at Superior Transmission Products designed a great fix for this issue.
26 maj 2023 · Remove heat shielding from transfer case if you have 4WD / AWD. Pull CV axles. If equipped with 4WD/AWD, disconnect the rear axle, to then pull the transfer case backwards. Lift out transfer case and then pull the transmission out and inspect/ replace/ rebuild as needed.

7 sty 2009 · Our 2010 Escape (now with 31k miles) has the 6F35 transmission. Around 25000 miles, the shifting was getting harsh. Delayed engagement into Drive at cold starts, banging/confused shifts, slipping, etc. Transmission fluid was BLACK.
