In the realm of physical rehabilitation, tailbone-related discomfort poses unique challenges that demand careful attention and specific exercises. Tailbone pain, or coccydynia, can severely impact a person’s daily life and overall wellbeing.
Advanced Exercise plan. This programme is a further progression with challenging progressive strengthening of muscles that assist in bending and straightening of the low back, and stabilisation of the pelvis.
Exercise therapy can improve the strength and flexibility of the back and pelvic muscles, thereby reducing pressure on the coccyx and alleviating pain. Specific exercises can include strengthening of the pelvic floor muscles, stretching and mobility exercises, and core stabilisation exercises.
There are some exercises at the end of this leaflet that can be helpful in regaining mobility when you develop coccyx pain and they can sometimes help with short term pain relief.
